OpenSource DB at ACM SIGMOD/PODS 2026 – May 31st to June 05
Hari Kiran, Founder of OpenSource DB, and Amar attended ACM SIGMOD/PODS 2026 in Bengaluru, joining researchers and industry leaders exploring the latest advances in data management and AI.
The conference featured insightful sessions on LLM-powered data systems, database innovation, and the future of data management. Keynotes by Tova Milo and Gustavo Alonso highlighted the growing role of data management principles in the AI era.

PGDay Pune 2026 – 13 June
On June 13, 2026, PGDay Pune brought together PostgreSQL users, developers, DBAs, architects, and open-source enthusiasts for a day of technical learning, networking, and community engagement.
A highlight of the event was a session by Hari Kiran, Founder of OpenSource DB, titled “How India’s Largest G2C Platform Broke Free from Oracle.” The talk explored the migration of a large-scale government platform from Oracle to PostgreSQL, sharing practical insights, challenges, and lessons learned from the journey.

Vishnu’s Visit to OpenSource DB – June 19th 2026

GTM India Hyderabad Connect – June 20th 2026
Hari Kiran, Founder of OpenSource DB, recently spoke at GTM India (formerly Presales India) – Hyderabad Connect, delivering a session titled “From RFP to Go-Live: A Presales Journey Through India’s GovTech Landscape.”
Drawing from his experience with Telangana MeeSeva, Hari shared practical insights into government technology procurement, including navigating complex RFP processes, understanding evaluation frameworks, and turning compliance requirements into strategic advantages. The session also highlighted the growing importance of Make in India initiatives and how they influence public sector technology adoption and vendor selection.
The event brought together founders, sales, presales, and technology professionals, fostering engaging discussions and knowledge sharing around government and PSU opportunities.
