Why SMBs Don’t Need to Train Models (Yet)

Not from changing the model itself.

Why “Yet” Matters

This doesn’t mean SMBs will never train models.

But timing matters.

Training starts to make sense only when:

  • Your use case is stable and well-defined
  • You’ve already validated value using APIs or RAG
  • You need optimization at scale

Until then:

Training is optimization—not the starting point.
