OpenSource DB โ November'25 Bulletin
Welcome to the November edition of the OpenSource DB Bulletin!
๐ November Highlights
๐ November 5 & 6 โ Open Source India 2025 – Asia’s Leading Open Source Event at NIMHANS CONVENTION CENTRE, Bangalore.
We kicked off Networking November at Open Source India 2025, where we connected with brilliant minds across the open-source community.
@Hari Kiran and @Praveena represented Postgres Women India and OpenSource DB, delivering the talk โPostgres Women India: Driving Diversity and Innovation in Open Source.โ
A big thank-you to @Amaralingeswara Rao Kaka and @Sovenath Shaw for leading our booth with great energy, and to @Padmashree MP and @Pranay Shree from #Aiven for their collaboration and support.
The response was fantastic โ students, professionals, and open-source enthusiasts engaged with us, explored opportunities, and showed enthusiasm to be part of our community.
๐ Career Connect Day โ November 7 Highlights
Our latest CCD brought together learning, reflection, and meaningful interaction. We started with a Group Discussion on careers in data and open source; though we had only two groups, the insights shared were thoughtful and impactful.
The second half featured an engaging session by Rekha Naagar on Confidence, Clarity & Career Readiness, filled with practical guidance and interactive activities.
Thank you to Rekha for her inspiring session, to Ashritha and Chandani for volunteering, the OSDB Team for active participation, and Hari Kiran for designing this edition of CCD.
Women from OpenSource DB Attended FTCCI Womenโs Leadership Summit
Women from OpenSource DB had the opportunity to attend the FTCCI Womenโs Leadership Summit in Hyderabad โ an inspiring and power-packed event that brought together women leaders, entrepreneurs, technologists, and changemakers from across the state.
The summit featured thought-provoking sessions on leadership competency development, personal growth and wellness, financial resilience, and technology-driven leadership. Vanitha Datla, Dr. Ch. Preeti Reddy, Ms. Anindira Mukherjee, Aruna Ravikumar, Nida Fatima Hazari, Ms. Deepthi Akki, Dr. Samatha Tulla, Ms. Khusboo Hoda, Ms. Michelle Dominica, Nisary Mahesh, Sushma Chitta, Ms. Radhika Yuvraj Iyengar, and Ms. Rashi Srivastava.ย shared practical insights, real-life experiences, and powerful messages.
The summit also offered meaningful networking opportunities, lively discussions, and even a much-needed laughter break with stand-up comedian Sushma Chitta. The event concluded with an inspiring address by Smt. Hari Chandana Dasari, IAS, a highly respected and accomplished civil servant whose humility, clarity of thought, and people-centric leadership left a strong and lasting impact on everyone present.
Overall, it was an enriching experience for our team โ one that aligns perfectly with our mission to support, empower, and create opportunities for women in technology and open source.
