OpenSource DB is proud to have participated in the FOSSASIA Summit 2025 PGDay in Bangkok, celebrating the power of open-source and the remarkable collaboration within the PostgreSQL and broader tech communities. From March 13 to 15, Bangkok’s True Digital Park became the hub for Asia’s leading open-source technology conference, the FOSSASIA Summit 2025. Organized by the incredible team at FOSSASIA, the event was a melting pot of ideas, fostering technical discussions, networking, and groundbreaking insights into the world of open-source technologies.

Highlights of the Event

Hari Kiran’s Session: Automatic DDL Replication with pgEdge Distributed Postgres

One of the standout moments of the event was Hari Kiran’s talk on Automatic DDL Replication with pgEdge Distributed Postgres. His session delved into the mechanics of pgEdge’s capabilities in handling database schema changes seamlessly across distributed environments, enabling:

PGConf India 2025 was a landmark event for the PostgreSQL community, bringing together database experts, developers, and open-source advocates. Held at Sheraton Grand Hotel, Bangalore, from March 5th to 7th, 2025, the conference featured workshops on March 5th, followed by technical talks on March 6th and 7th covering PostgreSQL performance, scalability, and real-world applications.

We also showcased our expertise through dedicated booths for pgEdge and DBTune, providing attendees with insights into cutting-edge solutions for distributed PostgreSQL and AI-driven database tuning.

Hari Kiran’s Session: Exploring Multi-Master Distributed PostgreSQL with pgEdge

Hari Kiran had the privilege of delivering a talk titled “Use Cases for Open-source Multi-master Distributed Postgres by pgEdge.” During the session, we explored how pgEdge is tackling real-world database challenges, including:

  • Enabling high availability and fault tolerance for critical systems.
  • Simplifying multi-cloud deployments for distributed environments.
